Why would you have a skin booster and not filler?
A skin booster is purely to refresh the face, and reduce wrinkles and fine lines. This aids in preventing crepey skin and future ‘sagging’ developing. It is different to a filler as it is a hydrator rather than a product to lift and contour. Both products are made of hyaluronic acid, however a filler is a thicker solution, with strong cross links – and a skin booster is more water based with the ability to spread and encapsulate moisture in the skin. Often patients benefit from both a filler to shape and lift, and a skin booster to smooth and hydrate.
How often should you have a skin booster?
We recommend having a booster every 3-6 months to help keep the moisture locked within the skin, boost elasticity and enhance the dewy effect of your skin.
Will skin boosters get rid of wrinkles?
Skin boosters will smooth out fine static lines in the skin by creating a blanket of moisture within the skin cell structure, which will literally feed and nourish your skin. If your skin feels crepey and saggy then a booster will help restore a smoother more supple look to the skin
Will skin boosters make me look younger?
A skin booster will improve the firmness of the skin and iron out fine lines so will make your skin more youthful. It can help with the texture and the complexion to make your skin look and feel healthier
Is a skin booster a quick fix for my skin?
A booster will hydrate and smooth your skin but we often recommended a course of 2/3 to really rewind the signs of ageing. Skin boosters can be used in conjunction with anti-wrinkle treatments, firmer fillers and regular facials or as a stand-alone treatment for those who want a more natural and subtle result.
Do I need Profhilo or a Skin Booster?
Profhilo is great at treating an entire area like the face, chest, hands or neck.
A skin booster is a more tailored treatment, in which you can target specific lines or more precise concerns
