Dermal fillers are fast becoming one of the most popular go-to treatments among our patients. The procedure for administering fillers is very quick and has minimal side effects, making it a popular choice for both men and women. It’s so quick and easy you’ll wish you’d have known about dermal fillers years ago!
This type of affordable, non-surgical procedure, allows us to take advantage of looking younger for longer and improve on those areas that affect our self-confidence. No longer will you have to bear your imperfections or signs of ageing, but instead embrace a renewed self-confidence.
How long do fillers last for?
The lasting effects of dermal fillers depends on the area treated, however results typically last from 12-18 months. One of the main benefits of using dermal fillers is that results can be seen straight away after having treatment. It usually takes about a week for the filler to settle and the final result can be seen after 10 days.
How long does it take and how much does it cost?
The procedure for inserting dermal fillers is very quick. Treatment typically takes approximately 30-40 minutes, which is why it is famous for being a lunchbreak procedure!
Typical costs start from £280 for 1 syringe and £460 for 2 syringes, depending on requirements.
What types of dermal fillers are there?
Look Lovely London uses Restylane. However, if you have another brand favourite, Dr Wilson has been trained in all popular brands and is happy to discuss administration of your preferred brand.
Can dermal fillers be used whilst pregnant?
There is currently insufficient scientific research to suggest whether it is safe or not to use dermal fillers while pregnant. In this case, we would suggest that you wait until you are no longer pregnant and have finished breastfeeding before using dermal fillers.
What are the side effects?
The main side effects of dermal fillers are slight swelling and redness which can occur straight after the procedure. This normally disappears after ten minutes. Some bruising can also occur if the filler is being administered into the lip area, as this is more vascular than other parts of the face. However we provide icepacks straight after treatment to minimise bruising.
At Look Lovely London, we strongly advise that you spend the time to find a reputable practitioner who is properly qualified. This is important as it will help put your mind at ease, knowing you are in safe hands.
