What are Dermal Fillers?
Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, smooth wrinkles, and enhance facial contours. They typically contain hyaluronic acid or other substances that mimic the skin’s natural components for youthful results. When dermal fillers are placed in the targeted area, at the correct levels and in the right quantity, you will achieve lifting and smoothing of the skin.
What are the Benefits of Dermal Fillers?
Immediate Results
Results can be seen instantly after the treatment, providing quick enhancement to facial contours and volume.
Natural-Looking Enhancement
Dermal fillers provide subtle, natural-looking improvements to facial features, enhancing areas like lips, cheeks, and jawlines.
Long-Lasting Results
Depending on the type of filler used and area treated, results can last from several months to over a year, providing long lasting enhancement with little maintenance.
Non-Surgical
Dermal fillers are minimally invasive, requiring no surgery, which means reduced risk and minimal recovery time.
Boosts Collagen Production
Dermal fillers stimulate the body’s natural collagen production, promoting long-term skin health and rejuvenation.
Reversible and Adjustable
Many dermal fillers, especially those containing hyaluronic acid, can be adjusted or dissolved if the desired effect is not achieved.
How do Dermal fillers work?
When the dermal filler is injected into the target area, it draws in water and moisture to plump-up and hydrate the skin. Dermal filler will mesh into normal skin tissue, giving you instantly smoother skin, lifted grooves and added volume.
Although dermal filler dissolves over time, it can also stimulate your body to produce its own collagen, which improves the quality of your skin over time.

When administered by a qualified medical professional, dermal fillers are safe. This is down to our skilled approach and meticulous training in facial anatomy. In the unlikely event of an emergency, we know what to do to avoid any complications and have equipment on site to resolve it quickly. We also only administer FDA approved products including Restylane, by Galderma.
As highly trained practitioners, we also use cannulas where needed, to avoid vascular (vessels) complications. A cannula is a bendy blunt tube that passes through tissue to deliver the filler in the correct area. The rounded end ensures it moves around any important face structures, therefore, avoiding complications that can occur with sharp needles keeping our treatments safe.
The dermal filler procedure involves minimal discomfort, as it will always combine the use of topical anaesthetic, and use dermal fillers mixed with lidocaine.
